TALLAHASSEE EMERGENCY BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Augusta Iron & Steel Works fabricated structural steel for the emergency replacement of a railroad bridge over Apalachee Parkway near downtown Tallahassee. To meet the accelerated schedule, both bridge spans were shipped fully assembled, allowing the contractor to remove the existing bridge and install the new structure within a single weekend closure.

BMW EXPANSION BRIDGE
AISW supplied the structural steel for this accelerated bridge project connecting BMW’s Greer manufacturing facility to its expansion property across I-85. The bridge’s design eliminated the need for a median pier, improving safety, speeding up construction, and resulting in the longest single-span bridge in South Carolina at the time of construction.

NORFOLK SOUTHERN CONGAREE RIVER CROSSING
Augusta Iron & Steel Works fabricated two 120-foot-long through-girder spans for this fast-track railroad bridge replacement project. The new bridge was designed to accommodate the passage of North America’s largest rail car, and the contractor completed removal and installation within a tightly scheduled 36-hour construction window.
